Students in the MS in Genome Bioinformatics program will participate in a summer internship in a non-academic setting. This experience will aid students in developing sought-after skills in preparation for entering the job market. In addition, this experience will provide real-world data to be analyzed as part of the thesis project. Upon returning for the second year of the program, students will work closely with outstanding faculty mentors in developing and implementing an analysis pipeline for their data. Students can shape their research experience by joining industry partners in areas of interest to them.
