Dr. Newman is past Editor-in-Chief of the Journals of Gerontology: Medical Sciences, and remains an Associate Editor. She also serves on the editorial boards of several other journals. She is a frequent reviewer and advisory panel member for both NHLBI and NIA, including a current appointment to the NIA Board of Scientific Counselors and the Clinical Trials Advisory Panel.
