ADDORE Supplement

Building researcher capacity to engage diverse communities in Down Syndrome and aging, the Alzheimer's Disease/Down Syndrome Engagement Core Supplement aims to establish a community-led training and immersion experience to equip researchers with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of community and anti-racism praxis. 

STREAMR Study

The STudy of Racial Equity Among Medicaid Recipients Study is designed to understand if and how Medicaid policies in Pennsylvania promote and improve maternal and infant health and well-being, particularly for Black populations. 

Violence Prevention Initiative

The Violence Prevention Initiative is a multi-part effort dedicated to addressing community violence through Reimagine Reentry, Gunshot Reoccurring Injury Prevention Service, and Homicide Review.

Racism-related and Other Social Stressors and CVD Risk in African-American Women

A collaboration with Emory University supported at Pitt by the Ultrasound Research Lab that investigates whether aspects of the African-American lived experience – i.e. social stressors such as discrimination, financial strain, inadequate social support and early adversity – contribute to subclinical cardiovascular disease progression in women 30-45 years of age.
